The poet Maya Angelou (who was a dancer before she became a poet) , said: “Everything in the universe has rhythm.  Everything dances”.   And there are so many dance styles to choose from so why pick just one?   Come join Cathy Samardza who will introduce you to authentic jazz (based on dances like the Lindy Hop, Swing and Charleston), tap, Hula and Middle Eastern dance.

She’ll get you warmed up with some stretching, balance, and strength building exercises and then you’ll do the “Shorty George”, learn about Kamehameha’s Pali and find out why those seven veils are so much to fun to work with.  Each class offers something new.  As, Garfield says, “Some days you just gotta dance”.   Classes begin on Tuesday March 8.   Classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00 – 3:00 in the Palmer Room.   Classes are FREE for MMC members.  Cost for non-members is $5.00 per class.    Registration required.  Please contact Member Services AT 302-734-1200 EXT.167
