THE TEE-TONES - singing group & band
Inspired by the legends of classic Rhythm-n-Blues and the street corner Doowop group harmonies that gave birth to Rock-n-Roll, The Tee-Tones are bringing back that incredible sound we all grew up on but few left can imitate. The Tee-Tones, are a 4 - 5 member singing group (often a cappella w/ an added upright bassist or sometimes accompanied by a full band), from Brooklyn, NY, specializing in the great, classic hits of the Doowop, Motown, and Soul eras of the 50s, 60s and 70s everyone knows and loves.
Having already performed for premiere gala events in the tri-state area including exclusive private events for the Beatles own, Sir Paul McCartney, Rolling Stone Magazine, Stella McCartney, Brooklyn Nets, and Motown founder Berry Gordy, and appearances on PBS' Doowop Generations, NBC's Late Night with Seth Meyers, ABC's Good Morning America, Cosmopolitan Magazine and ABC World News Tonight, with performances at The Javits Center, Lincoln Center, The Barclays Center, The Beacon Theatre, Wildwoods Convention Center, Paramount Theater in Asbury Park, YouTube Studios NYC and Kings Theater with recordings for ad agencies and TV commercials for brands such as Kraken Rum, Patron, Snap Dog, and sharing the stage with such legends as Little Anthony, Charlie Thomas' The Drifters, The Duprees, The Contours, The Marcels, rapper Amine and so many more, The Tee-Tones are quickly making a name for themselves in today's music industry and becoming one of NYC's most in-demand, soulful singing groups.
The Tee-Tones combine soulful group harmony with passionate vocal performances and arrangements of the classics of the great RnB groups of the 50's, 60's and 70's. The Tee-Tones do it ALL as audiences can't seem to get enough of their energetic, gospel/soul flavored harmonies, impeccable musicianship and hair-raising and highly entertaining vocal performances of the Classics we all know and love.
Formed on the street corners of Brooklyn and tunnels of the NYC Manhattan subway system, The Tee-Tones (formed from their original name, The Tunnel Tones), represent a long tradition of great RnB 'a cappella soul' singing groups that gave birth to Doowop, Rhythm-n-Blues, Rock-n-Roll, Classic Soul and Motown. Put together and marketed with the help of Night Roads Entertainment's President, Laurence G. and singer "Scout Ford", The Tee-Tones have been quickly growing as one of the America's favorite a cappella singing groups and soul acts.
